AN ACT

to amend the Work Health Act

The Legislative Assembly of the Northern Territory enacts as follows:

1. Short title
This Act may be cited as the Work Health Amendment Act (No. 2) 2000.

2. Commencement
This Act comes into operation on the commencement of the Petroleum Amendment Act 2000.

3. New section
The Work Health Act is amended by inserting after section 28A the following:

"28B. Part not to apply to workplace etc. under Petroleum Act

"This Part does not apply in relation to –

(a) a workplace; or

(b) work or service of any kind performed at a workplace,

to which Part IIIA of the

Petroleum Act

applies.".

4. Further amendments
The Work Health Act is amended as set out in the Schedule.
