The Legislative Assembly of the Northern Territory enacts as follows:

Short title

This Act may be cited as the Evidence Amendment Act 2005.

Commencement

This Act comes into operation on the date fixed by the Administrator by notice in the Gazette.

Principal Act amended

This Act amends the Evidence Act.

Amendment of section 26E (Exception to rule against hearsay evidence)

Section 26E(1) –

omit

a sexual offence

insert

an offence
