ZOOLOGICAL PARKS REGULATION 1999 - NOTES

- Made under the Zoological Parks Board Act 1973 - As at 1 September 1999 - Reg 475 of 1999

His Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Zoological Parks Board Act 1973.
Minister for the Environment.

Explanatory note

The object of this Regulation is to repeal and remake, with minor modifications, the Zoological Parks Regulation 1993. The new Regulation deals with the following matters:

(a) the regulation of the entry to, and use of, zoological parks and the behaviour of visitors to them,
(b) the regulation of vehicles within zoological parks,
(c) the obstruction of Zoological Parks Board staff and other persons, and the removal of persons from zoological parks.
The Regulation is made under the Zoological Parks Board Act 1973, including section 30 (the general regulation-making power).
The Regulation is made in connection with the staged repeal of subordinate legislation under the Subordinate Legislation Act 1989.
