VETERINARY SURGEONS REGULATION 1995 - REG 29A

Person who undertakes training may carry out pregnancy testing on cattle not owned by the person

29A Person who undertakes training may carry out pregnancy testing on cattle not owned by the person

(1) A person, other than a veterinary surgeon, who undertakes an approved training course may, as part of the training course, diagnose pregnancy in cattle he or she does not own.
(2) In this clause:
"approved training course" means a course approved by a committee that is conducted by:
(a) a veterinary surgeon who is the holder of an animal research licence within the meaning of the Animal Research Act 1985 ,
(b) or a veterinary surgeon who is the holder of an animal research authority within the meaning of the Animal Research Act 1985 ,
(c) or a veterinary surgeon for an accredited research establishment within the meaning of the Animal Research Act 1985 that has been approved by a committee.
"committee" means an Animal Care and Ethics Committee as constituted under the Animal Research Act 1985 .
