Adjournment of certain proceedings

136 Adjournment of certain proceedings

(cf Gen Reg, cll 20(5) and 23(4))

(1) If in any appeal concerning a decision of Transport for NSW about a licence it appears to the Local Court that--
(a) the licence is affected by another decision of Transport for NSW as well as the one under appeal in those proceedings, and
(b) the appellant has commenced or intends to commence appeal proceedings under the Act in respect of that other decision,
the Court may adjourn the appeal proceedings pending hearing of that other appeal or so that both appeals may be heard together.
(2) If in any appeal concerning a decision of a police officer to issue a suspension notice under section 224 of the Act it appears to the Court that--
(a) the licence of the appellant is affected by a decision of Transport for NSW as well, and
(b) the appellant has commenced or intends to commence appeal proceedings under the Act in respect of that other decision,
the Court may adjourn the appeal proceedings pending hearing of that other appeal or so that both appeals may be heard together.
