COAL OWNERSHIP (RESTITUTION) REGULATION 2000 - NOTES

- Made under the Coal Ownership (Restitution) Act 1990 - As at 5 September 2000 - Reg 512 of 2000

His Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Coal Ownership (Restitution) Act 1990.

Explanatory note

This Regulation replaces, without any changes in substance, the Coal Ownership (Restitution) Regulation 1995 which is repealed on 1 September 2000 under section 10 (2) of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1989. The new Regulation deals with the procedures to be followed with respect to applications for the restitution of ownership of coal under the Coal Ownership (Restitution) Act 1990 (including provision for the preliminary evaluation of applications and the factors to be taken into account in determining an application).
This Regulation comprises or relates to matters of a machinery nature.
This Regulation is made under the Coal Ownership (Restitution) Act 1990, including sections 5 and 9 (the general regulation-making power).
