New South Wales Repealed RegulationsThis legislation has been repealed.
(1) A person engaged in production or maintenance work underground at a mine must not work unaccompanied unless:(a) the person has had at least one year’s underground mining experience, and(b) the mine manager has given the person an indication in writing that the manager is satisfied that the person is competent to perform the work in a safe manner while unaccompanied and the person has agreed to do the work unaccompanied.
(2) A person must not work:(a) in or about a face area at a mine for the purpose of cutting coal, or(b) anywhere at a mine for the purpose of erection or removal of supports,unless the person is working, or has worked for a period of at least one year, in the company of persons who have had at least one year’s experience in such work.
