New South Wales Repealed RegulationsThis legislation has been repealed.
(1) A detainee may be visited by relatives and friends at least once immediately after admission and, with the permission of the centre manager, at such intervals after that as the Director-General may determine for the centre in which the detainee is detained.
(2) The centre manager:(a) must have regard to the wishes of any parent or guardian of a detainee who has not attained the age of 16 years in relation to the management of visits to the detainee, and(b) must, at all times, seek to encourage and facilitate visits to detainees by their relatives and friends.
