Note: The repeals are explained in detail in the Explanatory note relating to this Act. In relation to the repeal of amending Acts, it should be noted that the Acts are repealed simply to rationalise the legislation in force and that the repeals have no substantive effect on the amendments made by the Acts or any associated provisions. The Acts that were amended by the Acts being repealed are up-to-date on the legislation database maintained by the Parliamentary Counsel's Office and are available electronically.

Section 30 (2) of the Interpretation Act 1987 ensures that, when an Act or a statutory rule (such as a regulation) is amended or repealed, no amendment made by the Act or statutory rule is affected. Section 30 (2) also ensures that the following matters are not affected:
(a) the proof of any past act or thing,
(b) any right, privilege, obligation or liability saved by the operation of the Act or statutory rule,
(c) any validation made by the Act or statutory rule,
(d) the operation of any savings or transitional provision contained in the Act or statutory rule.
