ROAD TRANSPORT (GENERAL) ACT 1999 - SECT 52

Motor vehicles or trailers not to be used without consent of owner

52 Motor vehicles or trailers not to be used without consent of owner

(cf Traffic Act, s 8A)

(1) A person must not use any motor vehicle or trailer without first obtaining the consent of the owner.
Maximum penalty: 20 penalty units.
(2) This section does not apply to a police officer in the execution of his or her duty under the road transport legislation.
