Proceedings for offences

47 Proceedings for offences

(cf Traffic Act, s 19)

(1) Proceedings for an offence against the road transport legislation are to be dealt with summarily before a Local Court.
(2) Despite any other Act, proceedings for an operator onus offence may be commenced within 1 year after the date of the alleged commission of the offence.
(3) In this section:
"operator onus offence" means a designated offence within the meaning of section 43.
