POLICE AMENDMENT ACT 2007 - SCHEDULE 2

SCHEDULE 2 – Amendment of Police Integrity Commission Act 1996

(Section 4)

[1] Section 74 Termination of police investigations

Omit “Ombudsman” from section 74 (3).
Insert instead “Commissioner of Police”.

[2] Schedule 3 Savings, transitional and other provisions

Insert at the end of clause 1 (1):

Police Amendment Act 2007 (but only to the extent that it amends this Act)

[3] Schedule 3

Insert at the end of the Schedule with appropriate Part and clause numbering:

Part - Provision consequent on enactment of Police Amendment Act 2007

Complaints Section 74, as amended by the Police Amendment Act 2007 , applies to complaints made before the commencement of that amendment.
