New South Wales Repealed ActsThis legislation has been repealed.
(1) The Minister is to review this Act to determine whether the policy objectives of the Act remain valid and whether the terms of the Act remain appropriate for securing those objectives.
(2) The review is to be undertaken as soon as possible after the period of 3 years from the commencement of section 8.
(3) A report on the outcome of the review is to be tabled in each House of Parliament within 12 months after the end of the period of 3 years.
(4) In particular, the review is to address the following matters:(a) the coverage and effectiveness of the food safety schemes in operation at the time of the review,(b) the extent to which national food hygiene standards have been implemented in food safety schemes,(c) whether food safety operations undertaken by different government agencies in New South Wales should be undertaken by a single agency and, if so, the means of achieving that objective.
