Definitions generally

3 Definitions generally

In this Act:
"approved" means approved by the Director-General.
"Director-General" means the Director-General of the Department of Fair Trading.
"exercise" a function includes perform a duty.
"function" includes a power, authority or duty.
"inspector" means:

(a) an officer of the Department of Fair Trading appointed by the Director-General to be an inspector for the purposes of this Act, or
(b) an investigator appointed under section 18 of the Fair Trading Act 1987 .
"licence" means a licence in force under this Act.
"licensee" includes a person who holds a licence jointly with another person or other persons.
