New South Wales Repealed ActsThis legislation has been repealed.
(1) An authorised officer (within the meaning of section 43A) may require a person whom the officer reasonably suspects has committed an offence against this Act or the regulations to state the person’s residential address and full name.
(2) Any such officer may request the person to provide reasonable proof of the person’s identity.
(3) A person who, without reasonable excuse, fails to comply with a requirement of any such officer under this section is guilty of an offence.Maximum penalty: 15 penalty units.
(4) A person does not commit an offence against this section if:(a) the officer does not, at the time when the officer makes the requirement, show the person proof of the officer’s authority, or(b) the officer does not, at the time when the officer makes the requirement, warn the person that it would be an offence not to comply with the requirement.
