CAMPBELLTOWN TO CAMDEN TRAMWAY AND JERILDERIE TOWARDS DENILIQUIN RAILWAY ACT. Act No. 8, 1963. An Act to discontinue the operation of the Campbelltown to Camden tramway line; to make certain provisions consequential upon such discontinuance; to amend the Government Railways Act, 1912, as amended by subsequent Acts; to repeal the Jerilderie towards Deniliquin Railway Act, 1924; to validate certain matters; and for purposes connected therewith. [Assented to, 29th March, 1963.] D E it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by ·*-* and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: -- 1. This Act may be cited as the "Campbelltown to Camden Tramway and Jerilderie towards Deniliquin Railway Act, 1963". 2. 2. (1) The Commissioner for Railways shall cease to operate the tramway constructed pursuant to the Tramways Extension Act 1880, along route number eleven referred to in the First Schedule to that Act, and any duties or obligations imposed upon The Commissioner for Railways by the Government Railways Act, 1912, as amended by subsequent Acts, the Public Works Act, 1912, as amended by subsequent Acts, or any other Act of Parliament, or by agreement, contract, deed or by operation of law existing as at the commencement of this section or arising subsequently thereto in relation to the said tramway or any of the lands or works connected therewith or adjoining thereto or the carriage of persons, animals and goods upon the said tramway, are hereby extinguished. (2) Any land resumed or taken for the purposes of the works along the said route number eleven may be dealt with as superfluous lands under the Public Works Act, 1912, as amended by subsequent Acts. (3) This section shall be deemed to have commenced on the first day of January, one thousand nine hundred and sixty-three. 3. The Jerilderie towards Deniliquin Railway Act, 1924, is hereby repealed.
