WATER SHARING PLAN FOR THE PHILLIPS CREEK, MOOKI RIVER, QUIRINDI CREEK AND WARRAH CREEK WATER SOURCES 2003 - REG 31
Estimate of water requirements
31 Estimate of water requirements
(1) It is estimated that at the time of commencement of Part 2 of Chapter 3 of
the Act in the area in respect of which this Plan is made, the requirements
identified for water for extraction under access licences within these water
sources will total approximately: (a) 426 megalitres per year (hereafter
"ML/yr") in the Phillips Creek Water Source,
(b) 27,449 ML/yr in the Mooki
River Water Source,
(c) 2,458 ML/yr in the Quirindi Creek Water Source, and
(d) 264 ML/yr in the Warrah Creek Water Source.
(2) It is estimated that at
the time of commencement of Part 2 of Chapter 3 of the Act in the area in
respect of which this Plan is made, there will be several runoff harvesting
access licences in these water sources, that will have their access licence
share component expressed as the water that can be extracted from time to time
from the approved works.
(3) This Plan recognises that the total requirements
for water for extraction within these water sources may change during the term
of this Plan as a result of: (a) the granting, surrender, cancellation or
non-renewal of access licences, or
(b) variations to local water utility
licences arising from sections 66 (3) or 66 (4) of the Act.
