Note: Complying development is development that can be approved by accredited certifiers, as well as the consent authority, if it meets specified predetermined development standards. In addition to the circumstances in clause 8 (2), section 76A (6) of the Act also provides additional restrictions on complying development including, among other things, that complying development cannot include development on land that comprises, or on which there is, a heritage item and development which requires the concurrence of another body, including the Director-General of National Parks and Wildlife.
