Foreshore building lines
31 Foreshore building lines
(1) In this clause,
"foreshore building line" means a broken line shown on the Zoning map and
identified as such a line in relation to land on the foreshore.
(2) Except as
provided by subclause (3), a person must not erect any building or carry out a
work between a foreshore building line and the South Pacific Ocean.
(3) The
Council may, after consideration of the probable aesthetic appearance of the
proposed structure or work in relation to the foreshore, consent to the
erection of a structure or the carrying out of a work below or at the surface
of the ground between a foreshore building line and the South Pacific Ocean.
