New South Wales Consolidated Regulations New South Wales Consolidated RegulationsThe Council shall not grant consent to the subdivision of land or to the erection of a building on land which, in the opinion of the Council, is subject to bushfire hazards (by reason of the vegetation on the land or any adjacent land) unless, in the opinion of the Council:
(a) adequate provision is made for access for fire fighting vehicles,
(b) adequate safeguards are adopted in the form of fire breaks, reserves and fire radiation zones, and
(c) adequate water supplies are available for fire fighting purposes.
