SECURITY INDUSTRY REGULATION 2007 - REG 43
Security recordings
(1) A person who deliberately or recklessly destroys, edits, alters, erases or
otherwise interferes with any security recording that relates to any incident
involving a licensee performing his or her duties that would likely lead to
criminal or disciplinary proceedings against that licensee is guilty of an
offence. Maximum penalty: 50 penalty units.
(2) A person does not commit an
offence under this clause if the person destroys, edits, alters, erases or
otherwise interferes with a security recording after any criminal or
disciplinary proceedings relating to the recording have been finalised.
(3)
In this clause,
"security recording" means security, surveillance, closed circuit television
or digital recording or footage.
