Notification of lost etc licences
22 Notification of lost etc licences
(1) A licensee must, within 7 days after becoming aware that the licence has
been lost, stolen, destroyed, defaced or mutilated, notify the Commissioner of
that occurrence. Maximum penalty: (a) in the case of a corporation-40 penalty
units, or
(b) in the case of an individual-10 penalty units.
(2) For the
purposes of this clause, the Commissioner is taken to have been notified of
the occurrence if: (a) written notice of the occurrence has been sent by post
to the Commissioner, or
(b) oral notice of the occurrence has been given,
either in person or by telephone, to a police officer at a police station or
to the Police Assistance Line (131 444).
