New South Wales Consolidated RegulationsFor the purposes of section 24 (1) of the Act, the following periods are prescribed:
(a) for a class 1 or class 2 licence-the period of 1 year, but only if the applicant for the licence applies for a licence that will be in force for such a period,
(b) for a class 1 licence-the unexpired period of the applicant’s provisional licence at the time the class 1 licence is issued, but only if the applicant for the class 1 licence:(i) applies for a licence that will be in force for that unexpired period, and(ii) is the holder of a class 1 provisional licence that authorises the same activity as the class 1 licence for which the application is being made (and has previously held such a provisional licence).
