(1) Subject to section 17 of the Act and except as provided
in this Part, the rules do not apply to any of the proceedings in the Court
which are specified in the Third Schedule to the Act.
(2) Despite the other
provisions of this Part, the rules do not apply to proceedings in the Court of
Criminal Appeal, including proceedings specified in the Act, Third Schedule,
clause (d).
