Beginning a U-turn

37 Beginning a U-turn

A driver must not begin a U-turn unless:

(a) the driver has a clear view of any approaching traffic, and
(b) the driver can safely make the U-turn without unreasonably obstructing the free movement of traffic.
Maximum penalty: 20 penalty units.
Note: "Approaching" traffic means traffic approaching from any direction-see the definition in the Dictionary.
Note: "Traffic" is defined in the Dictionary.
