ROADS (GENERAL) REGULATION 2000 - REG 13
Dragging things on road
13 Dragging things on road
(1) A person must not: (a) propel or drag anything along the surface of a road
that is capable of causing damage to the road or to any structure or work on
the road, fair wear and tear excepted, or
(b) drive a vehicle with chains on
its wheels otherwise than on a road whose surface is covered with mud, snow or
ice.
Maximum penalty: 10 penalty units.
(2) A person must not, except with
the permission of the roads authority, drive on a road a vehicle that has
caterpillar tracks or that has wheels having spikes, bars or other projections
that come into contact with the road surface. Maximum penalty: 20 penalty
units.
