Driver not to smoke, eat or drink in vehicle
36 Driver not to smoke, eat or drink in vehicle
(1) The driver of a
public passenger vehicle must not do any of the following: (a) smoke any
substance while in the vehicle, whether or not the vehicle is being driven for
the purpose of providing a public passenger service,
(b) eat or drink in the
vehicle while the vehicle is hired or available for hire, or is otherwise in
use as a public passenger vehicle.
Maximum penalty: 5 penalty units.
(2)
Nothing in this clause prohibits a driver of a public passenger vehicle from
eating or drinking in the vehicle for medical reasons.
