Alterations to pipeline
19 Alterations to pipeline
(1) A licensee must not carry out any work involving the permanent alteration
of a pipeline that is operated under the licence unless notice in writing of
the proposed work has been given to the Director-General setting out a
detailed description of the proposed work, including a schematic design (if
relevant). Maximum penalty: 10 penalty units.
(2) After receiving a notice
under subclause (1), the Director-General may require the licensee concerned
to furnish further information on the proposed work.
(3) A licensee must
comply with any requirement made of the licensee under subclause (2). Maximum
penalty: 10 penalty units.
(4) This clause does not apply to the alteration
of a pipeline in an emergency situation.
(5) Nothing in this clause
authorises the alteration of a pipeline by a licensee that results in a
contravention of, or failure to comply with, a condition of the licence.
