New South Wales Consolidated RegulationsFor the purposes of section 12 (1) of the Act, a medical practitioner is required in relation to a sexually transmissible medical condition to provide information to the patient on such of the following matters as are relevant in a particular case:
(a) means of minimising the risk of infecting other people,
(b) public health implications of the condition,
(c) any responsibilities under section 11 of the Act, including any precautions considered reasonable,
(d) responsibilities under section 13 of the Act,
(e) diagnosis and prognosis,
(f) treatment options.
