New South Wales Consolidated Regulations New South Wales Consolidated RegulationsThese Rules succeed the Legal Practitioners Admission Rules 1994 with effect from 1 December 2005.
Note: Section 38 (4) of the Legal Profession Act 2004 applies Part 6 of the Interpretation Act 1987 to a rule made under that section in the same way as it applies in relation to a statutory rule within the meaning of that Act. The Rules appointed 1 December 2005 as the date of effect of the Rules. Pursuant to section 39 (2A) of the Interpretation Act 1987 , the Rules are not invalid merely because the Rules were published in the Gazette after the day on which one or more of the provisions is or are expressed to take effect, but provides, in that case, for that or those provisions to take effect from the day on which the Rules are published in the Gazette, instead of from the earlier day.
