Cutting into sewer main
19 Cutting into sewer main
(1) It is a condition of an approval for an activity that involves the cutting
of a junction into a sewer main that the cutting of the junction must: (a)
comply with any operating requirements notified by the council, and
(b) be
carried out by a qualified supervisor acting under the supervision and in
accordance with the directions of the council.
(2) The council may, as a
condition of an approval for a junction to be cut into a sewer main, direct
that the work must not be started unless at least 2 days’ notice of
intention to start the work has been given to the council.
(3) The council
may, as a condition of an approval for a junction to be cut into a sewer main,
require the work to be carried out by the council for a specified charge if
the council has decided that the work should be carried out by the council.
