JUDICIAL OFFICERS REGULATION 2006 - REG 2 Commencement 2 Commencement This Regulation commences on 1 December 2006. Note: This Regulation repeals and replaces the Judicial Officers Regulation 2000 which would otherwise be repealed on 1 September 2007 by section 10 (2) of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1989. JUDICIAL OFFICERS REGULATION 2006 - REG 4 Lodging of complaints 4 Lodging of complaints A complaint is to be in the form approved by the Commission and is to be lodged with the Chief Executive of the Commission. JUDICIAL OFFICERS REGULATION 2006 - REG 5 Verification of complaints 5 Verification of complaints A complaint must be accompanied by particulars of the matter on which the complaint is founded and those particulars must be verified by statutory declaration. JUDICIAL OFFICERS REGULATION 2006 - REG 6 Repeal and savings 6 Repeal and savings (1) The Judicial Officers Regulation 2000 is repealed. (2) Any act, matter or thing that had effect under the Judicial Officers Regulation 2000 immediately before the repeal of that Regulation is taken to have effect under this Regulation. Attorney General JUDICIAL OFFICERS REGULATION 2006 - NOTES Explanatory note This Regulation repeals and replaces the Judicial Officers Regulation 2000, which would otherwise be repealed on 1 September 2007 by section 10 (2) of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1989. This Regulation deals with the manner and form in which complaints against judicial officers are to be made to the Judicial Commission. This Regulation is made under the Judicial Officers Act 1986, including sections 17 (Manner of making complaints) and 54 (the general regulation-making power). This Regulation comprises or relates to matters of a machinery nature.
