Notification of lodging of appeal
53.2B Notification of lodging of appeal
(1) The registrar of the Local Court
who receives notice of an appeal, or an application for leave to appeal,
lodged under section 14 (1) or (3) of the Crimes (Local Courts Appeal and
Review) Act 2001 shall immediately thereafter send notification of the lodging
of the appeal or application to the Director of Public Prosecutions and the
registrar for the proclaimed place at which the appeal or application is to be
heard.
(2) The registrar of the Local Court at the Downing Centre, Sydney
shall, immediately after notice of an appeal under section 23 (1) of the
Crimes (Local Courts Appeal and Review) Act 2001 is given to him, send
notification of the lodging of the appeal to the registrar for the proclaimed
place at which the appeal is to be heard.
