Cleanliness, maintenance and repairs
47 Cleanliness, maintenance and repairs
(1) The premises of a children’s service, and all equipment and furnishing
used in providing the children’s service, must be maintained in a safe,
clean and hygienic condition and in good repair at all times.
(2) The
licensee and the authorised supervisor must use their best endeavours to
ensure that any buildings and grounds on the premises are kept free of vermin
and pests.
(3) The premises must not be fumigated while children are
attending the premises.
(4) The premises of a children’s service must be
fitted with appropriate devices that: (a) are designed to prevent children
from gaining access to power points or other electrical outlets, and
(b) are
designed to minimise the risk of electrical shocks arising from electrical
wiring.
(5) The licensee and the authorised supervisor of a children’s
service must ensure that the premises of the service are kept clean of
garbage, rubbish and rubble.
