CHILDREN'S SERVICES REGULATION 2004 - REG 43
Ventilation, light and heating
43 Ventilation, light and heating
(1) The premises of a children’s service must have access to natural light
and must be properly ventilated, lit and heated when children are being
provided with the service.
(2) All heating and cooling units on the premises
of a children’s service must be adequately secured and guarded to prevent
injury to children through contact with hot surfaces or moving parts or the
emission of any sparks or flames.
(3) The controls of all equipment on the
premises that may be hazardous to children must be guarded to prevent access
by children.
(4) Fans on the premises or the home must be placed in a
position that is inaccessible to children.
