20 Advertising of application and copy of advertisement to accompany
application
(1) An applicant for a licence must advertise notice of intention to apply for
a licence in a daily newspaper circulating generally throughout New South
Wales and in a newspaper circulating generally in the locality where the
service is to be provided.
(2) Such a notice: (a) must be in the approved
form, and
(b) must state the name of the applicant (including any alternative
name by which the applicant is known) and any former names of the applicant,
and
(c) if the applicant is neither a natural person nor a public authority,
must state the name (and any former names and alternative names) of: (i) each
natural person involved in the control and management of the applicant, and
(ii) if the applicant is a corporation and a majority shareholder of the
applicant is another corporation, each natural person involved in the control
and management of the majority shareholder corporation, and
(d) in the case
of a centre based or home based children’s service, must identify the
address of the premises where the children’s service is proposed to be
provided, and
(e) must state that submissions in respect of the proposed
application may be made to the Director-General within 3 weeks after the
publication of the notice, and
(f) must be published no earlier than 2 weeks
before the application is lodged with the Director-General and no later than
the day on which the application is lodged.
(3) An application for a licence
must be accompanied by evidence of the due publication of the notice required
by this clause.
