CO-OPERATIVES REGULATION 2005 - REG 3
Interpretation
3 Interpretation
(1) In this Regulation:
"CCU" means a co-operative capital unit and has the same meaning as provided
for by Division 2 of Part 10 of the Act.
"Council" means the Co-operatives Council constituted under the Act.
"non-trading co-operative" has the same meaning as in the Act.
"the Act" means the Co-operatives Act 1992 .
"trading co-operative" has the same meaning as in the Act.
(2) In this
Regulation (except in Schedule 2 (Conduct of postal ballots, postal ballot
paper and middle envelope)), a reference to a Form is a reference to a Form
set out in Schedule 7.
(3) Notes in the text of this Regulation do not form
part of this Regulation.
Note:
"Penalty unit" is defined in section 17 of the
Crimes (Sentencing Procedure) Act 1999 which provides that a reference in any
Act or statutory rule to a number of penalty units is to be read as a
reference to an amount of money equal to the amount obtained by multiplying a
specified monetary value by that number of penalty units. On the commencement
of this Regulation, the monetary value of a penalty unit was $110.
