Other gaming activities for charitable purposes
12 Other gaming activities for charitable purposes
(1) A gaming activity (including a chocolate wheel or lucky envelopes)
conducted by or on behalf of a charitable organisation is a permitted gaming
activity for the purposes of section 10 of the Act if the following
requirements are complied with--
(a) not less than 40% of the gross proceeds
of the gaming activity are paid to the benefiting organisation,
(b) the total
value of all of the prizes for 1 session of the gaming activity does not
exceed $5,000.
(2) This clause does not apply to art union gaming activities,
housie, lotteries, sweeps or calcuttas.
