WEAPONS PROHIBITION ACT 1998 - SECT 36
Interstate transactions
36 Interstate transactions
(1) Despite any other provision of this Act, a person who is the holder of a
permit is, for the purposes of any transaction between the person and the
holder of a corresponding permit outside New South Wales, authorised to buy or
sell a prohibited weapon from or to the holder of that corresponding permit.
(2) In this section:
"corresponding permit" means an instrument (or other form of authorisation)
that: (a) is in force in a place outside New South Wales, and
(b) is, in the
opinion of the Commissioner, the equivalent of a permit in force under this
Act.
