Assets of irrigation corporations
119 Assets of irrigation corporations
(1) An irrigation corporation is the owner of all water management works
installed in or on land by the corporation (whether or not the land is owned
by the corporation).
(2) The provisions of Part 5 and section 88 of the
Irrigation Corporations Act 1994 , as in force immediately before their
repeal, continue to apply for the purpose of enabling the Ministerial
Corporation to transfer to an irrigation corporation any of its assets, rights
and liabilities with respect to an irrigation scheme area with which the
irrigation corporation was formerly connected.
