WESTERN LANDS ACT 1901 - SECT 28B
Extension of term of lease
28B Extension of term of lease
(1) This section applies to a lease, other than a lease in perpetuity, granted
under section 28A.
(2) The term of a lease to which this section applies may
be extended from time to time: (a) for a term not exceeding 40 years, and
(b)
on such terms and conditions (not affecting the amount of rent) as the
Minister thinks fit.
(3) An extension under subsection (2) may be for the
whole, or a specified part, of the land leased.
(5) If application is made
for extension of the term of a lease for which a certificate of title has
issued, the certificate of title must be lodged with the application.
