Directions to insurers with respect to claims procedures
194 Directions to insurers with respect to claims procedures
(1) The
Authority may give insurers (or any particular insurer or class of insurers)
directions for or with respect to requiring the adoption and use by them of
specified processes, procedures, strategies, policies and methods in the
handling and administration of claims for compensation or work injury damages,
either generally or in respect of a specified class or classes of cases.
(2)
It is a condition of an insurer’s licence under this Act that the insurer
must comply with a direction under this section.
