WATER ACT 1912 - SECT 170
Objections to non-complying controlled works
(1) An objection to the granting of an approval for a
non-complying controlled work may be made: (a) where the controlled work was,
at the time the application for the approval was made, situated or proposed to
be constructed within a declared local area: (i) by any statutory authority,
or
(ii) by any local occupier,
whose interests may be affected by the
granting of such an approval, or
(b) in any other case-by any person whose
interests may be affected by the granting of such an approval.
(2) An
objection to the granting of an approval shall: (a) be in writing,
(b)
specify the grounds of the objection, and
(c) be lodged with the Ministerial
Corporation on or before the closing date specified under section 169 (2) (b)
(ii) in relation to the making of any such objection.
