(1) An authorisation may authorise the exercise of the special powers
conferred by this Part--
(a) for the purpose of finding a particular person
named or described in the authorisation, or
(b) for the purpose of finding a
particular vehicle, or a vehicle of a particular kind, described in the
authorisation, or
(c) for the purpose of preventing a terrorist act in a
particular area described in the authorisation (or apprehending in any such
area the persons responsible for committing a terrorist act),
or for any
combination of those purposes.
(2) The person, vehicle or area is referred to
in this Part as the
"target" of the authorisation.
(3) Without limiting subsection (1) (a), a
person may be described by the use of a photograph or drawing.
