4 Other definitions
(1) In this Act:
"exercise" a function includes perform a duty.
"function" includes a power or duty.
"impaired intellectual functioning", in relation to a person, means: (a) a
total or partial loss of the person’s mental functions, or
(b) a disorder
or malfunction that results in the person learning differently from a person
without the disorder or malfunction, or
(c) a disorder, illness or disease
that affects the person’s thought processes, perceptions of reality,
emotions or judgment, or that results in disturbed behaviour.
"occupier" of premises includes a person in charge of the premises.
"Police Minister" means the Minister administering the Police Act 1990 .
"premises" includes a building, structure or place, whether built on or not.
"serious indictable offence" means an indictable offence that is punishable by
imprisonment for life or for a term of 5 years or more.
"vehicle" includes a vessel or an aircraft.
(3) Notes included in this Act do
not form part of this Act.
