New South Wales Consolidated Acts New South Wales Consolidated ActsNotwithstanding anything provided in this Act, where under this Act an election or application may or is required to be made by a person within a prescribed period or on or before a prescribed date and that person makes the election or application either before the commencement or after the expiration of that period or after that date, and the Board is satisfied that:
(a) hardship would accrue to that person or his dependants if the election or application were not accepted, and
(b) in all the circumstances of the case it is desirable that the election or application should be accepted,the Board may accept the election or application and deal with it as if it had been made within the prescribed period or on or before the prescribed date.
