SYDNEY WATER CATCHMENT MANAGEMENT ACT 1998 - SECT 7
Board
(1) There is to be a Sydney Catchment Authority Board.
(2) The Board is to
consist of: (a) the Chief Executive, and
(b) not fewer than 4 and not more
than 8 members appointed by the Minister.
(3) The members of the Board
appointed by the Minister are to be persons who, in the opinion of the
Minister, each or together have the following: (a) qualifications and
experience relevant to catchment management and protection,
(b)
qualifications and experience relevant to water quality and public health,
(c) qualifications and experience relevant to running a commercial entity,
(d) qualifications and experience relevant to water supply planning and asset
management,
(e) practical knowledge of, and experience in, agriculture and
industry in the catchment area,
(f) practical knowledge of, and experience
in, local government and planning in the catchment area,
(g) such other
expertise as the Minister considers necessary to realise the objectives of the
SCA.
(4) The Minister may advertise publicly for appointments to the Board.
(5) Schedule 1 contains provisions with respect to the constitution and
procedure of the Board.
