Public exhibition of memoranda of understanding
36 Public exhibition of memoranda of understanding
(1) Each regulatory agency must give notice of the preparation of the
memorandum of understanding to which it is a party.
(2) The notice is to be
given in a newspaper circulating in the Corporation’s area of operations and
must: (a) specify the address of the place at which copies of the memorandum
of understanding may be inspected, and
(b) specify the address to which
representations concerning the memorandum of understanding may be forwarded.
(3) Any person may, within 30 days or such longer period as may be specified
in the notice, make representations to the regulatory agency concerning the
memorandum of understanding.
(4) Each regulatory agency must, on the
expiration of the period referred to in subsection (3), and before entering
into the memorandum of understanding, consider any representations made under
this section.
(5) Notice of the execution of a memorandum of understanding is
to be published in the Gazette and in a newspaper circulating in the
area of operations within 14 days after the execution.
(6) The requirements
of this section apply to an amendment to a memorandum of understanding in the
same way as they apply to a memorandum of understanding.
