New South Wales Consolidated ActsIn this Part:
"adult" means a person who is of or above the age of 18 years.
"child" means a person who is under the age of 18 years.
"correctional officer" means:
(a) a correctional officer (within the meaning of the Crimes (Administration of Sentences) Act 1999 ), or
(b) a person holding an authority under section 240 of the Crimes (Administration of Sentences) Act 1999 to perform custodial duties."inmate" has the same meaning as it has in the Crimes (Administration of Sentences) Act 1999 , and includes an offender who is detained in a periodic detention centre.
(a) a person employed in the Department of Corrective Services, or
(b) a person employed at a managed correctional centre (within the meaning of the Crimes (Administration of Sentences) Act 1999 ),but does not include a correctional officer.
