SUBORDINATE LEGISLATION ACT 1989 - SECT 10

10 Staged repeal of statutory rules

(1) Unless it sooner ceases to be in force, a statutory rule published before a date specified in Column 1 below is repealed on the date specified opposite in Column 2:

1 September 1986	1 September 1994
1 September 1990	1 September 1995

(2) Unless it sooner ceases to be in force, a statutory rule published on or after 1 September 1990 is repealed:

(a) on the fifth anniversary of the date on which it was published (in the case of a statutory rule published on 1 September in any year), or

(b) on 1 September following the fifth anniversary of the date on which it was published (in any other case).

(4) Despite the other provisions of this Part, the following regulations remain in force until 1 September 2009, unless sooner repealed:

(b) the Liquor Regulation 1996 ,

(b1) the Parking Space Levy Regulation 1997 ,

(d) the Registered Clubs Regulation 1996 ,

(e) the Road and Rail Transport (Dangerous Goods) (Road) Regulation 1998 .

(4A) Despite the other provisions of this Part, the following regulations remain in force until 1 September 2010, unless sooner repealed:

(a) the Associations Incorporation Regulation 1999 ,

(b) the Day Procedure Centres Regulation 1996 ,

(c) the Motor Vehicle Repairs Regulation 1999 ,

(d) the Private Hospitals Regulation 1996 .

(4B) Despite the other provisions of this Part, the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation 2001 remains in force until 1 September 2012, unless sooner repealed.

(5) This section does not apply in respect of a regulation comprising only provisions relating to zoning plans for marine parks under the Marine Parks Act 1997 .
